Glass – Wine. Bar. Kitchen: A Culinary Gem Amidst the Pocono Mountains

Nestled within the scenic Pocono Mountains in Hawley, PA, Glass – Wine. Bar. Kitchen is a culinary delight and a breathtaking experience. Located on the same property as Ledges Hotel, this exquisite eatery is open to the public and boasts an impressive menu and a stunning outdoor environment.

With the majestic waterfall as a backdrop, diners can enjoy their meal outdoors on the enclosed patio or indoors with cozy wood furnishings. The menu features mouthwatering dishes such as fried artichoke hearts with garlic remoulade, slow-braised lamb, and the unforgettable fried Brussels Sprouts with a cider gastrique and Aleppo Chili.

The exceptional Brussels Sprouts dish, which perfectly balances sweet, tart, and smoky flavors, is a highlight that brought me back to Glass for a second visit. After years of trying to recreate this appetizer at home, I was thrilled to learn the recipe from the chef himself, although it was bittersweet to hear it might eventually be removed from the menu.

The staff at Glass is not only friendly but also knowledgeable about the area, offering valuable insights into local hikes, waterfall attractions, and the history of Ledges Hotel. Bobby, our bartender, and host, was particularly impressive, sharing fascinating stories about Ledges Hotel’s extensive history in the glass industry while serving up a shot of the rare 10-year-aged Old Rip Van Winkle.

A Non-Climber’s Take on the WEREWOLVES 8MM Climbing Rope

As someone who’s far from being a seasoned climber, I found myself in need of a sturdy rope for a kayaking trip down the Delaware River with my girlfriend and a couple of close friends. After some research, I stumbled upon the WEREWOLVES 8MM Climbing Rope on Amazon and decided to purchase the 98 ft variety for just over $29.

I never imagined that this rope would turn out to be such a valuable addition to my outdoor gear, but it proved invaluable when my girlfriend’s arms gave out mid-trip. Thanks to the rope and the included carabiners, I was able to connect our kayaks together and paddle for both of us, all while feeling like I was participating in an Iron Man competition.

Despite not being used for climbing, the WEREWOLVES rope held up well in freshwater and didn’t show any signs of damage. The carabiners were sturdy enough to keep our kayaks secure throughout our journey. The pre-looped ends with stainless steel thimbles were an intelligent addition to prevent premature wear and tear. Ultimately, this rope exceeded my expectations and turned out to be an excellent investment, and it wasn’t a brutal hit on the wallet.

In conclusion, the WEREWOLVES 8MM Climbing Rope proved to be a reliable and cost-effective solution for our kayaking adventure. I highly recommend it to others in need of a dependable rope for various outdoor activities, even if they aren’t climbers. This rope truly saved the day and made our trip down the Delaware River a memorable one!
